How We Make It

When making our herbal-infused oils to make the herbal healing salve, we prefer the solar-infused method. Care and patience go into preparing the herbal-infused oils that are blended into our highly effective healing salves. Our healing salves contain essential oils of Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree all which have anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. We also use local beeswax, organic extra virgin olive oil, Vitamin E and of course a lot of love.

Calendula: Wonderfully healing with all-around healing properties useful for a wide variety of skin irritations and conditions including wounds, insect bites, rashes, scrapes, abrasions, cuts, and much more.  Suitable for sensitive skin and babies.

St. John’s Wort:  Beneficial for minor wounds, cuts, bruises, insect bites and stings, nerve support, scrapes, and minor burns.

Comfrey Leaf and Root: Contains allantoin, a chemical that protects the skin and promotes new skin cell growth. It’s said to help ‘knit’ cells back together after a laceration or abrasion. Comfrey is also known to relieve pain and swelling and assists with healing a wide variety of conditions.

Why Use Aromatherapy and Herbal Healing Salves?

Lavender’s anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, of course. The leaves are steam-distilled to extract lavender oil.

Many essential oils can burn the skin or are simply too high dose used straight; diluting them in olive oil or another food-grade oil such as almond oil can allow these to be used safely as a topical. Salves, oils, balms, creams and lotions are other forms of topical delivery mechanisms.
